Our Philosophy

There is much more to Driver Training than just passing the DVSA's Theory & Practical Driving Tests.

Driver Training is for all of us.....Professional Drivers Included!! Road safety starts with the road user, it doesn't matter who....pedestrian, cyclist or motor vehicle user, we all have a role to play.

In my capacity as a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor I have previously worked for both BSM & Drive Dynamics, two of Britain's largest driving schools, I have been witness to a colourful mix of views & opinions with regards to the education & safety of our younger drivers.....I feel confident that a small change in road user attitudes would go a long way to reducing the stress, fears, and anxieties that I believe contribute to a large proportion of incidents on the British Roads.

Learning to Drive is a Life Skill, and should be valued as such; driving Is a privilege, not a birth right.

Introduction

Our pupils pass their driving test whilst demonstrating an excellent driving ability, combined with a heightened awareness towards road safety, and are therefore ready to take on the challenges of today's roads.

We feel this does not have to be the case. Given the right level of support, each pupil finds taking the first steps towards getting a driving licence is both exciting and highly rewarding. L

Our School

At Kudos Driving School we understand how important driving is in people’s lives, therefore we strive to ensure that our driving lessons are not only the highest quality, but also enjoyable and fun.

Our friendly, patient and caring attitude helps pupils learn the necessary driving skills and the rules of the road at their own pace. This means, when the big day comes, passing the driving test will be a breeze and and their driving worries will be left miles behind.

Based in the Chippenham & Bath area, our aim is to offer a high level of tuition in theory, practical skills and driver attitude, ensuring our pupils have the highest opportunity to pass the DSA's Driving Test, and thus giving them the foundation for building SAFE DRIVING SKILLS FOR LIFE!

To get started

In order to begin driving lessons with us, you need to be aged 17 or older, be able to read an old style number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres or 20 metres if the new-style number plate is used. ( New-style number plates are easily identifiable starting with two letters. eg AB 51 ABC ). You must also hold a valid provisional driving licence. This can be applied for online by using the DSA links at the top of this page, or by completing a D1 form obtainable from the Post Office, and then sending it to the DVLA with your passport or birth certificate, and 2 passport-sized photos as ID.

Disability living allowance - If you are receiving disability living allowance at the higher rate, your provisional licence will come into effect when you are 16. You can apply for it within three months of your16th birthday.

Our Services

At Kudos Driving School, we can tailor our service to suit your personal needs … from one-to-one training for beginners, fast pass and intensive driving courses, refresher lessons, right through to more advanced tuition for qualified drivers. Whatever the need, we always pride ourselves on delivering superb quality driving instruction.

Tuition for younger learners can be made two to three months before their 17th birthday, and the 1st lesson can easily be booked for that magic day. Book early to avoid disappointment.

As an independent Driving School, we have the flexibility to offer added value to driving lessons, for example special student rates, block booking discounts and premium driving courses.
